Computing
  Part of the DPH Group.

DPH Computing was formed in 1996, when I was at university. It was formed through the demand by contacts I had made when in business buying and selling garage equipment who wanted to have their computer problems or queries sorted out in the shortest time possible and at the least expense. At the time the computer industry in general was not doing this, so I decided to help out. (Which basically meant people phoning me up at some rather odd times to sort out their machines). The big benefit of this for me was getting to know how to solve a lot of what became common problems e.g. networking, web site design and publishing, and installing microsoft fax on Win98.

NOTE: I spent the University year 96/97 (which was my placement year) as Web Master for The Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility at De Montfort University. During this time I played a major part in the construction and promotion of the site. The CCSR Home page is at: http://www.ccsr.cse.dmu.ac.uk/. The Web Site has become the world's premier web based resource for Computer Ethics.

I have recently completed the installation of a network for Axiom Design Resource Ltd, who are a point of sale display design company based in Leicester, I am also helping on the East Midlands C.A.R.E web site: http://www.emcare.org.uk/ and I have produced a multi-lingual site for a local company providing English business language courses for european companies.

In a voluntary capacity, I am the current web master of 'The Fire Services National Museum Trust' Web Site on http://www.Fireworld.org.uk/. This is a site aimed at bringing the History and day to day life of the Fire and Rescue Services to the attention of the general public via the web and a new National Museum which is being established at Weedon in Northamptonshire. Anyone with Artefacts or information which they think would be useful should contact the people on that site by following the above link. I am also working as a consultant for various other people.

I am offering a web site development service for people who would like their own presence on the Internet. The cost of this for a standard 3 page layout is £150:00. Domain name registration and allocation of web space can also be arranged at very reasonable prices and Any interested parties can mail me with your phone number, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Sites that I have produced will be linked on my Links page.
